When clients feel like family 🫶

Nicola’s been coming to Exhale since before we even had a studio. That still blows our minds a bit.

“Longevity” gets thrown around a lot these days. But this is what it actually looks like to us.

It’s strength. It’s mental resilience. It’s showing up and being part of something.

Exhale supports you through all seasons of life, motherhood, grief and whatever challenges life throws at you.

3 of the best pieces of Pilates apparatus to undo upper-body tightness after a full-on week!

Beth (owner of @the.reformer.room) came in feeling tight through her upper back after training, working, running after the kids and spending too much time over a laptop.

So we used three pieces of apparatus, using the intelligence of the Pilates system.

1. Spine Corrector
To open the upper back, release the hips and give the body a chance to soften before asking more from it.

2. Electric Chair (also known as the High Chair ☺️)
To keep the space we created on the Spine Corrector, but now connect to building strength and control throughout the body.

3. Teacher’s hands-on (one of the most important)
I always say that sometimes the most intelligent apparatus of all is a teacher’s hands, especially when done with intelligence and purpose. It gives the body a sensation it can understand, organise around and eventually recreate on its own (especially in mat work)

Three tools. One goal

To feel re-energised and that’s exactly how Beth felt after ✨

The perfect antidote to end a busy week. 💪🏼

If you too want to counter act how your body (and brain) feels after a busy week, book a private 1-1 or find one of our new barrel classes on the schedule so you can also feel the incredible benefits when you use the Pilates system has on your body 🙌🏼

Three studios. All of the apparatus. The full classical system 🤸‍♀️

Most studios have a reformer. We have the whole system.

This is Exhale: The Ultimate Pilates Playground.

The @pilatesstylemagazine with my little girl ✨

I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent me such lovely messages and bought a copy of The Pilates Style Magazine Longevity Issue. 🙏🏼 It really has meant the world to receive so much love and support, especially all the feedback about the dress! 💃🏽

I don’t often get a chance to stop and take stock of these milestones, but luckily my No. 1 fan Gigi helps me to see it through her eyes. (Slide 2 sound on 🥹)

This cover will always be particularly special to me because inside these pages I share not only my journey as the founder of Exhale, but also my four-year IVF journey and the road to becoming Gigi’s mummy.

I love knowing that one day she’ll be able to look back at this magazine, see her mummy on the front cover and read about the journey we went on to have her. Just how much of a miracle she is and how very, very wanted she was. ❤️

A special thank you to Charles for choosing me as your September cover girl for the Longevity Issue and recognising what we’ve built at Exhale over the last 13 years.

And of course, I have to thank the people who helped make this happen. 🙌🏼

My wonderful photographer @larissapinkham_photography , who was actually my studio manager when I first started Exhale all those years ago. What a full-circle moment to have her by my side for this! 🥰 My cheerleaders on the day, @jayneyldn and @emilypeggs , who got me through all the nerves, and my Pilates mummy @olgatamara2 , who gave me the all-important direction on what to wear and how to pose!

This really was a pinch-me moment. A chance to reflect on how far I’ve come, both personally and professionally, and how much there is still to look forward to.

If anything, becoming a mummy has given me a whole new drive and excitement for what’s next, both for me and for Exhale.

There’s definitely no slowing down just yet for this mumma! 😊🫶
